Siargao Now Is Live — And We're Just Getting Started
If you've been in General Luna lately, you've probably already heard about us. Maybe someone at the skate park told you to join the group. Maybe you saw it mentioned in I Love Siargao. Maybe a stranger at a café handed you their phone and said "just scan this." That's us. That's how we roll.

What We Built and Why
Siargao has a problem that anyone who's spent time here knows well. The island is absolutely packed with things to do — live music, yoga classes, surf competitions, food specials, hidden beach bars, community events, wellness retreats — and almost none of it is easy to find.
It's scattered across a hundred Instagram accounts, a dozen Facebook groups, WhatsApp threads, and word of mouth from that one guy who seems to know everything.
We built Siargao Now to fix that. Every morning, we send one simple WhatsApp message with the best of what's happening on the island today. No algorithm. No noise. Just a curated daily digest, delivered before you've decided what to do with your day.
The Response Has Been Kind of Insane
We launched with a small group and started going out in person — the bridge, the skate park, cafes around General Luna — just talking to people and showing them what it was. They joined on the spot. Then they told their friends. Then those friends told their friends.
We're now adding around 100 new members every week, entirely through word of mouth and community. No paid ads. No viral gimmicks. Just people finding it useful and passing it on.
That tells us something important: this island was ready for exactly this.
What's Coming Next
The daily digest is the foundation, but it's just the beginning. Here's what we're building toward:
We're launching this blog as a home for longer-form content about life in Siargao — real stories, local guides, honest takes on what it's actually like to live, work, and play here. Not the polished tourist-board version. The real one.
We'll be publishing regularly on things like the best hidden spots that don't make the Instagram highlights, what a typical week looks like as a digital nomad here, how the island changes between peak season and the quiet months, and interviews with the locals and expats who make this place what it is.
We're also building out our social presence — content that captures the feeling of Siargao on an ordinary Tuesday, because even an ordinary Tuesday here is something most people would fly across the world for.
This Is a Community Thing
Siargao Now isn't a media company parachuting in to cover the island. We live here. We're at the same warungs, the same surf breaks, the same sunset spots. We're building this because we love Siargao and we think it deserves a platform that actually reflects how good it is.
If you're a writer, a photographer, or just someone with something interesting to say about life here — we'd love to hear from you. This blog is going to be a place for real voices from the island.
For now, if you're not already in the daily digest group, join us. Every morning, one message, everything worth knowing about today in Siargao.
See you around the island. 🌊
