Bravo is the pool-and-sea-view spot you pick when you want to make an afternoon of it, not just grab a quick feed. Order the gambas, the mussels, or the fish tacos and share them across the table while you camp out by the water – this menu’s built for grazing over hours, not rushing through a single plate. The Tartufo Funghi pasta is the move if you’re after comfort food, poached eggs at brunch are some of the best on this stretch of coast, and happy hour (3-6pm) brings out a homemade granita cocktail worth timing your visit around. Pool access runs about 800 pesos, though 500 of that comes back as credit toward food or drinks, so it’s less a fee and more a bar tab with a swim attached. Expect to spend around 1200 php a head if you’re doing food properly, and go easy on the peri-peri chicken – the seafood and pasta are the stronger plays. Service can wobble when it’s slammed – orders missed, water taking three asks to arrive – so this isn’t the place if you’re in a hurry or hangry. But for a slow, laid-back day drinking by the sea with decent food and better cocktails, it’s one of the better hangs on the island, especially for the happy hour crowd rather than the quick-lunch crowd.
