Halika is the gelato stop, not a sit-down Filipino food spot despite what the category tag says. Right on the main road, easy to spot, and the flavors rotate daily so you’ve got an excuse to walk past twice in one afternoon and pretend it’s a different visit. Get the Salted Caramel Oreo if it’s up, or the Siargao flavor if you’re not usually a sweet-tooth person, and grab it in a cone over a cup. Mango float and peanut brittle also show up in rotation and both hold their own. Seating inside is tight, basically none, so this is a walk-and-eat or perch-on-the-curb situation, not a linger-over-dessert one. They’re eco-conscious about packaging and sourcing, which shows in the quality rather than in any speech about it. Staff are friendly most of the time but the place gets slammed around 7pm when tour groups roll through, and the queue system isn’t obvious, so don’t expect a warm welcome if you wander in blind during rush and hold up the line. Go earlier in the day, avoid the golden-hour crowd, and you’ll get better ice cream and better service for it.
