Restaurant
Mr. Turtle Siargao
Mr. Turtle sits right on the beach in General Luna, splitting its personality between sit-down restaurant and beach club – you choose between the main building’s covered seating or sunbeds out front (bring a towel if you want the sunbeds to be comfortable). The architecture and interior design are thoughtful, with a Bali-adjacent aesthetic that feels considered rather than accidental. The food leans Filipino fusion – the bistek fried rice and fried whole fish get specific praise, and the salmon escabeche is worth ordering. Cocktails punch above the usual island bar standard, with the Amaretto sour coming up repeatedly as a standout. Dinner with a DJ is when this place hits its stride. Service is consistently praised as warm and attentive, with staff member Lot name-dropped more than once.
