Bawud Cafe Siargao

Bawud has the best real estate in Siargao, sitting right across the Cloud 9 entrance, and it knows it. The look is aesthetic cafe, the menu is long and photogenic, and on a good day the matcha and coffee actually deliver. If you want a spot to sit before or after a surf and be seen doing it, this is where everyone ends up. Menu covers nasi goreng, avocado bacon toast (340 pesos for one slim slice, so temper expectations), pizzas, pasta, burgers, and a matcha latte people rave about when it’s made right. The catch is consistency: one visit gets crispy pizza and a rich coffee, the next gets a 30-minute wait for a single coffee and half the menu marked unavailable. One server is often running the whole floor solo, so if it’s busy (mornings, always), settle in. The location and the aesthetic are doing a lot of heavy lifting here, and the food doesn’t always keep up with the prices it charges. If you’re starving and in a hurry, walk the extra fifty steps to Weekend instead – Bawud is better as a coffee-and-people-watching stop than a full meal when you’ve got somewhere to be.
