Dream Catcher Nipas is a cluster of small nipa huts tucked into a landscaped garden in General Luna – 50 meters off the main road, but it feels further. The huts are compact (think: a bed, some floor space, and that’s the tour), but they have AC, the mattresses are decent, and the shared bathrooms are kept spotless around the clock. Nicola runs this place and she’s the main reason people extend their stays. She gives real recommendations – restaurants, transport, surf spots – and apparently hosts Christmas dinner. The wifi is fast enough that at least one guest used it for a job interview and got the job (unconfirmed, but the wifi part is solid). At around ₱800/night, this is squarely budget territory, and it delivers on the things that actually matter at that price point: cleanliness, location, a host who knows the island, and enough quiet to sleep.
