Sitting close enough to Cloud 9 that you can watch the barrel from the restaurant table, Hue is the right call if you want a proper hotel – pool, gym, clean modern rooms – without being stuck in General Luna proper. The rooms with private dipping pools are unusual for Siargao and worth the upgrade if you’re celebrating anything or just want to feel like you made good decisions in life. Soft-opening pricing right now, which means you’re getting a fully built-out property before the rates catch up to what it’s actually worth. The restaurant punches above what you’d expect from a hotel kitchen – plated properly, not the usual resort buffet situation. Food skews away from standard Filipino comfort food toward something with a bit more intention, and the sunset view from the bar earns a sundowner stop even if you’re not staying here. Ask for Belle, Jay, or Niña at the restaurant – they know what they’re doing. Staff can also sort surfing lessons and day trips to Sohoton Cove if you need logistics handled. This is not the spot for budget backpackers or people who want to be in the middle of the Gen Luna bar crawl. It’s quieter, which is either the point or a problem depending on why you’re here. Hot water pressure had some early teething issues but the hotel sorted it quickly – soft-opening reality. Go now before the rates adjust.
