Lamari is the place for people who want to be fussed over without paying Nay Palad money. It’s not beachfront, but you’re close enough to Cloud 9 that the difference is a five-minute tuk-tuk, not a dealbreaker. Book here if you want daily housekeeping, a proper pool, and a front desk that remembers your name by day two – not if you need to be able to see the waves from your pillow. The restaurant carries the place as much as the rooms do. Grilled tuna steak with their house sauce is the one to order, truffle pasta is properly creamy and al dente, and the steak comes out tender enough that people bring their titas here for 60th birthdays. Portions are big and prices sit on the higher end for Siargao, but nobody’s complaining about value once the food lands. Tell them if it’s a birthday – the complimentary dessert and card show up without you asking twice. Ask for Hazel or Jaymie at the front desk, they’ll sort your airport transfer and tour bookings without you lifting a finger. This is a hotel for people who want to be looked after, not backpackers chasing the cheapest bed near the break – if that’s you, there are cheaper surf hostels closer to the actual sand.
