It suits slower-paced travelers who want to be in the middle of General Luna without paying resort prices for the privilege. The owners built something they clearly use themselves, which shows in every corner of the place. The location puts you walking distance from the best coffee, the good warungs, and Cloud 9 road – so you’re not burning time or tricycle money just to get to the island. The bar setup makes it easy to meet people without being forced to socialize (an underappreciated feature in hostel design). Bata the puppy runs the property and has zero interest in your checkout time. If you need a pool or a spa menu, go elsewhere – this isn’t that kind of place and doesn’t pretend to be. Come during shoulder season if you want a room without planning three weeks ahead. Digital nomads will appreciate the space to actually work in the room before inevitably giving up and going to the hammock.
