Small cafe right on the road that does coffee properly – balanced, aromatic, not burned into submission like half the spots here. The barista actually listens when you ask for something specific, which is rarer than it should be. Best for people who know what they want in a cup and want it done right. The dirty matcha is the move if you’ve never had it done well. The coconut latte and Spanish latte are both solid and affordable – you’re not paying tourist markup for the privilege of decent espresso. No confirmed hours on file, so swing past before 5pm to be safe. This isn’t a late-night cocktail bar regardless of what the name implies – think of that half as future ambition. (Or a very optimistic sign painter.) Come for coffee in the morning or early afternoon, grab a tonic if you want something lighter, and don’t show up with a group of six expecting space.
